Outdoors EXTREME RANT "HOMESTEAD"!!!!!!!!!!!

If your using Homestead to host your website and you signed up last year for there "BASE" price... beware... My checking account was just hit with twice the amount of the "BASE" price without my permission and or any notification. Of course being the begining of the month I had paid my car payment, insurance, and many other bills and was waiting on my check today to get my balance back up. Well, because of there actions and NON-NOTIFICATION I bounced 2 checks which in turn cost me 79.00 in fees. Safe to say the "HEAD" of Homestead Technologies received a phone call from me and after a lengthy phone call he agreed to refund the amount they yanked out of my account. I also closed my account with them. But now I have to convince the bank to refund me the 79.00 I was charged for INF. They said they had sent out emails to everyone telling them about the price increase and when it was going to happen. Ummmm, excuse me but I never received any email or I would have closed the account before the outrages amount was pulled.
RANT OFF...........

At least one hosting company was recently closed down by the law, for "slamming" people like this. They quoted folks a flat rate, but then "slammed" them for bandwidth charges not revealed in the original contract.

Did they send out emails? Maybe you didnt actually recieve it due to a bad email addy listed by you or a server hic-up by your ISP ect ect....Thats one of the bad things about "email billing"...

Hmm... I received 3 e-mails stating that their features and services were going to change end of July, and the fine print said you would be upgraded and billed for such if you do nothing. I actually called and upgraded to the 69.95 "Sterling package" over the phone.
