Propellentless Propulsion

Quote:
Boeing, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer, has admitted it is working on experimental anti-gravity projects that could overturn a century of conventional aerospace propulsion technology if the science underpinning them can be engineered into hardware.

Very cool
Wonder how much truth there is behind his statements!
I'd have a hard time believing it.. granted its mostly because I can't see it.. but still pretty amazing... thanks!

When Newton first proposed his gravitational theory, many people thought it was occult 'magic' to believe in invisible forces acting across a void.
However, this Podkletnov guy is probably just a phoney Remember those scientists who 'discovered' cold fusion in a test tube??? hmmm...

(perhaps Boeing is trying to temporarily boost its share price for some reason )

Man the article I have read in the past few months make the jetsons, and star trek seem much more possible.

Let see.

Time traveling messages able to be sent back in time.

Anti gravity assumably artificial gravity as well

teleportation with natural byproduct of replication.

If these stories have any weight the next 50 years will be really cool. as long as we do not blow ourselves up with it.

I would but I am too busy watching the sci fi channel.

discovery, History, Fox, Sci-fi(although they sucked the past few months), and occasionally all the movie channels absorb all my free time after work, Family, honey do, techimo. I am trying to eek out some time for some radical FPS gamming. I just received MOHAA for my birthday. Still have not played it.

Hmmmm.... you mean you miss all the fun at cartoon network on Sundays? Bugs/Daffy/Elmer......

Dude, you better get hold of yourself.

Ren and Stimpy is one of my favorite.

Edit: Sorry CM for going off topic with my buddy Epidemic here.

Im trying to imagine how this could work. Would a gravitational force acting in an opposing direction cancel out the Earths gravity? Doesn't sound right...

ahhh you could pull yourself through space from planetary body to planetary body or push off of dark matter...

Indeed, since Dark Matter, or Dark Energy or whichever is so repulsive, there's got to be a way to use it to our advantage.

I haven't read the article yet, but look at it this way, if every particle has an opposite anti-particle, then it's safe to assume that everything else has an anti... Well, safe if you're a crank, or me.

The scientists who claimed to have discovered cold fusion were bought off by one of the major petrol companies. As was the guy that invented the air engine. It's all there...
