I'm sure you probably heard Jimi Hendrix was voted the greatest guitar player of all time. Have you seen the rest of the top 5?

I guess I agree with the top 3 but come on, Slash? What about David Gilmour, Lindsy Buckingham...or Stevie Ray Vaughan, or BB King, or Eddie Van Halen, heck what about Pete Townsend? Any of those guys could put Slash to shame, except Stevie of course. Am I missing something? Seems to me Guns n Roses were kinda a flash in the pan. I used to like them at one time, but they kinda turn my stomach now.

What would your top 5 picks be?

Maybe not in that order... in my mind it is hard to seperate them...

I agree with the top two, but think your other nominees in your post should rank higher than Clapton, Slash...and who is May?

I think there have been many guitarists better then Slash... he was good but not that good...

Who is May? You serious? Ever heard of Queen?

I think Slash belongs nowhere near that list. Not that he's awful or anything, but not one of the greatest.

Halen belongs on the list (even though I think he's a putz).

Maybe Randy Rhoades in there too.
