dunno.. I haven't even bothered to watch lol
I'll probably end up getting the DVD though just because like everybody in the world just seems to be required to
(which came out yesterday? )
I dont mind the wizards and elves thingy (just keeping up with the dialect ), sometimes its good and sounds like they did a good job on it.

| Neither have I.
Then again, the other great major publicity movie, Star Wars, is boring to me
Almost fell asleep during the last Episode.
It's only saving grace was Natalie Portman.

First, you gotta like stories. The series of five books represents one helluva story. Fairy story...whatever. It's a story.
As for the movie, well, movies always lose something of the story, and this one did too. But it didn't lose enough to make it a bad effort, and the graphics work alone was magnificent, so that makes up for something too.
All in all, I gotta give it a thumbs up.

I've always been into wizards & warriors and have read all of "The Hobbit" series books...I just let my imagination flow and relax to a, to quote cadd, "helluva" story. Of course the movie can't quite capture the book as well as the imagination can, but it's still very entertaining to me. Am I going out and buying posters, changing my wallpaper, making LOTR avatars, etc? Nah, but I have tried to cast numerous spells! |

I thought it was a great movie. The first half jour is slow, but you have understand the reason for the movie in the first place. After that it's very good, But then i'm into that type thingy
Hey Martoch, how about those fight scenes? That one big Ork was bad
I might watch it again later
BTW: it's a long movie, 30 minutes is minimal to explain the storyline, IMO. But that chicks voice sounds cool in surround sound And the graphics are good too I thought.

One thing that disappointed me...when Gandalf was fighting the other Wizard (brain fart), all they did was throw each other around the room...I was hoping to see some REAL wizardry.
I'll rent it for sure, just in case I missed something the first time.

I really liked when the girl was taking frodo to the elves, and the wraiths were chasing them, and she called up the water, and it turned to horses heads, and washed the wraiths downstream. That was
