OK, what is some of the things your parents did to you as a kid, that you swore you would never do to your kids. But you find yourself doing them anyway?
Like I tried all my life to be unlike my dad, but the other day my wife and I were driving along talking, and I was explaining something to her, and she said " you sound just like your father"

Or I'll never tell my kids "Turn that down" but I hate Rap, as much as he hated AC/DC I guess.
I guess as time goes on, things don't change as much as they should, and I find that I sound alot like my dad, stranger than that, I can see his point now

I think it was Mark Twain who said (something like) "When I was 18, I was apalled at the ignorance of my parents. When I reached 25, however, I was amazed at how much they had learned!"

My father was a very cool guy, and if I turned out like him, I'm gratified.

It was my mother I didn't want to be anything like. And I'm not!

I'm constantly telling my kids to quit leaning back in their chairs. Of course they have actually broken two of them beyond repair, so I feel justified. I never actually broke any of my parents' chairs by tipping them...

All in all, I would love to turn out like either of my parents. I guess I'm lucky.
