Mitre saw recommmendations

Looking into gettin a compound mitre saw,10".
I like the sears model with the Laster Trac option but not sure how well this works.Any recommendations on a model?
Price under $350.00.

Makita's got one out there, the guys at the tool shop all agree it's the Ferrari of compund saws. I did notice it had an outrageous amount of travel, plus it had an adjustable mitre feature; i.e., not just 90 degree and 45 degree cuts.
Can't remember what the price tag said, though.

i think the dewalt is for around $350, and IMO dewalt makes the best consumer power tools out there. i've had good experience with dewalt mitre saws before, in specific.

I guess I would not be an authority. I bought a 10 inch compound craftsman and a used shop for 25 bucks. It works for me. Although I would like smoother action when setting it.
