help with beer

In germany we had this ace type of beer called weizen (a beer type, i.e. Lager, bitter, stout etc). Now what i wanna know is if there is anything that is similar in the UK that i can check out.

Jakob (the dude i stayed with) called it Wheat beer, but i'm not sure if that helps.

thanks d00dz.

i had a great time in germany including, but not limited to, going on the fastest, highest rollercoaster in europe, sampling the local delicacies (food, beer, wine, fraulines...) and walking around 20km with a severe "kopfschmerzen" from "zu viele weizen"

If you can get it, I would give Michelob Hefeweizen a try. It sounds similar to what you had. It's not too shabby

Weizen is wheat beer. Don't know what else to tell you besides that. If you want something similar, look for wheat beer (if you really like that stuff). I always thought wheat beer was nasty stuff. I'll take a pilsner anyday.

Oh, yeah, there's quite a few "Wheat beers" out there...well, here, anyway...they're SO much better than the weak, nasty little Pilsners most Americans think of as beer.

Here's a label of what I think you're looking for:

I don't know about the wheat beers but my current favorite is Warsteiner. There's also one called Ransteiner.

Maybe this'll help:

I'm a Leinenkugel's fan myself. However, I can't stand Warsteiner. How do you do it, Shahani? j/k

Tried it last month and I find it quite refreshing actually. I guess beers are a very personal thing-everyone's tastes vary.

How do you like Leinenkugel? Haven't tried it yet.
