Epiphone PR-200
I just picked it up from a friend today. It Tuner,stand and case for $200 He paid over $300 for just the guitar a couple of months ago. It sounds sweet. I really like the way a Gibson plays, and it's made by Gibson, kind of an Economy line. Anywho, Epiphone has been around for years. Very fine guitar IMO.

Nice. There's one of these sitting in the local Sam Goody here. It plays pretty nice for a 'cheap' (comparitively speaking since I've never paid for a guitar) acoustic. By cheap I mean less than the $2K you pay for a Guild or high end Taylor. A guy I know picked up a $200 Ibanez acoustic and man if that ain't the best playing acoustic I've ever put my hands on (and yes, I have played a Guild). Good deal man, good deal.

Incidently, I could very well be mistaken about this, but I believe it was actually the Epiphone company that bought a struggling Gibson in the way back. The Gibson guitar line became more popular, so they made the high end models Gibsons and the low end models Ephies. Kinda like Chevy/Pontiac (I own driving excitement). Truth be told though, I've only played a few Gibsons and the Ephy counterparts are just as good sounding and playing guitars. My personal favorite guitar is the Gibson SG Custom (Gothic). My roommate's G300 plays and sounds just like it though. Made in Mexico, made in America. What, exactly do you pay for there???

Sweet little quitar, BC! I've got a Jasmine (low-end Takamine). A good, solid, inexpensive acoustic with good tone. I think the most beautiful sounding acoustic I've ever messed with was a Gibson Hummingbird...but the pricetag... !! I should have known from the look the guy working in the shop gave me when I pulled it off the wall.

I'd really like to have an Epiphone Les Paul. Great playing without the sticker shock. Another reasonably priced guitar that has caught my eye....PRS is making a Carlos Santana model that can be had for around $300-$350. I haven't handled one, but I don't think PRS or Santana would put their names on crap.

I don't buy into the price tags. I own a Martin D28 and an old Aria pro. Both sound good. The Martin has a sound that only Martin can produce but the Aria has a lighter sound that I find myself playing just to hear a song differently.

My first guitar was one of those. I think its a great sounding guitar. Its my only acoustic and will probably stay that way for a while. I'm more of any electric player.

I love Gibsons. I only own an old Gibson LGO flat top, and an old Silvertone, but I like the Les Paul, and I'd love any Gibson ES-series guitar from any year. Those babies are expensive!

The Silvertone has better tone than my Gibson, BTW. But the Gibson is easier to finger, and has a more accurate scale.

The Gibson has chrome Rotomasters on it, and the Gibson tuning gear went onto the Silvertone. The stock Silvertone tuning heads were crap, and went in the garbage.

Niiiiice. Wish I had a decent Acoustic. I have a Pro Session 12-string "modified" to a 6-string. It sounds awful, since the neck has been cracked...it's mended by a pro, but the neck broke where it goes into the body so it's pretty much a party guitar...heheh.

Me too, but some things just sound better on an acoustic. I've been doing some recording/writing, and I think this will give my work a much needed added flavor. It plays wonderful BTW.
I play an old Aria Pro, I've played for about 15 years,it has a heavy metal hummbucker in it, as well as two seymor duncan singles, reverse phase tap switch, and kahler whammy/w/lockdown nut. Very nice guitar. But songs seem to get relly heavy, and grungy, hoping this will give me more versatility

I love gibson guitars. My Aunt has mid 50s model Gibson hummingbird. Sunburst finish, has double pickgaurds, and hummingbirds on each pickgaurd. She won't sell it though
it sounds really sweet.
