Yep, bikkies is what you blokes might call cookies.

Cookies are something we use for remebering stuff, not eating.

So is it slang or is that a 'real' aussy word?

"Fresh Baked Chocolate Chip Bikkies For Sale"

"Bikkies Ahoy!™"

bikkie
noun 1. a biscuit. --phrase 2. a bite (or a few bites) short of a bikkie, not very intelligent. 3. big bikkies, a lot of money. Also, bickie.
From the Macquarie Dictionary http://www.macquariedictionary.com.a...y/slang-b.html

And yes, it's slang. But we have a brand of biscuits called "Bikkies" sold in supermarkets! And Qantas use a small supplier called something Bikkies on their domestic planes I think.

Cheers
Mick
