My first bond prep was today! (new job)

I'm kind of interning under this orthodontist, and today I did my first bond prep.
I didn't have any sharp instruments, so that's good.
My first bond prep was for a little girl who was probably about 10, and she was very easy to deal with except that she wanted to giggle so much, it was hard to keep her tooth dry!!
Bond prep is where you just paint on the stuff so the ortho can put the bracket on, btw.
Anyway, I felt the need to share! Now I need to wash my hands that smell like those yucky latex gloves.

I didn't think you needed laughing gas just for a bond prep...

Congratulations on your new job! I hope it's one you can really sink your teeth into.

Ugh.. always hated the smell of that bonding stuff

Then to have those cotton balls jammed into the back of your teeth in the saliva glands... oh the memories lol

Congrats

Congrats on the new job Geekgrl.

To the other posters, 'Laughing Gas' ((Nitrous Oxide) delivered as Entonox) is that still used in the US ??

Lol

LOL.....so interesting to see the "other" side of the biz...

I actually like the orthodontist, they don't really cause any pain and the place I go to are very nice.

The dentist on the toher hand.....no thanks
