Miami coach Ron Rothstein called Leslie's jam just ''another dunk.''

''It doesn't matter. We won,'' said Rothstein, who coached for four seasons in the NBA, and whose Sol dominated the Sparks most of the game Tuesday.
Awwww sounds like somebody is a little upset...
I think Ronnie needs a nappy LOL

bwahahahaha.....

Why hadn't this happened before??? A 6' 5" woman b-ball player who just did her (and in WNBA's history) first dunk in a pro game?? That's weird.

The first time she tried to dunk she just clanged into the front of the rim...can't beat that. (That was not in this game, was considerably earlier)

i ve been thinking about that since you brought it up and have come to this "opinion":

perhaps a woman, tho having the height for it,does not have the physical strength that a man has to preform the same feat.

seems to me it would have been done long ago, like wart said, because the height certainly is there.

???

Heh heh... if she's single, wonder if she'll marry an NBA star.

hard to say why it hasnt been done since there are many women who are as strong and athletic as the average NBA player. For instance Im not sure what the highest squat poundage is by a woman, but Im sure its more than Kobe can squat. Longest longjump by a woman? probably longer than average NBA dude. I dont think basketball in general has embraced weight training (look at Vlade Divac) to the extent other sports have..neither have women in america overcome all the resistance to female weight training...put those two factors together and it gives a reason why the girls arent jamming much yet. The woman are good natural athletes but they prolly arent trained much for explosive type power. JP

Rule of thumb for myself:
Never date a woman taller than myself (I'm 6' 4")...crazy stuff.
