It's been proposed that US companies be required to do the same, and they don't want to. They could roll in some cost up front, but their future liability in $$$ is undefined. Recycling costs might become prohibitive. Right now they stay low, because we're shipping all this toxic junk off to poor Pacific nations for recycling.
So what do we do? Who pays and how much? What about all those custom-built PC's??? Like mine???
