Check it out. You can be almost as cool as those Mozilla users. Here's your own TechIMO sidebar for Internet Explorer.
However, unlike Mozilla, we have to trick IE into allowing us to do this. I've simply done that by a minor registry edit. What it does is tell IE to use the sidebar for one specific search engine (Yahoo). Then it simply substitutes the URL of the TechIMO sidebar in place of the normal search engine's url. It can easily be undone by just clicking on "customize" (at the top of your sidebar) and then simply choose another search engine. When you do this it'll erase the registry edit I made and it'll reset Yahoo back to it's correct URL. I promise it's absolutely harmless.

. . . and very cool.
To get your TechIMO sidebar you just need to download
this REG file:
Win9x -
TechIMOsidebar.reg <---do a right-click & "save target as..."
Win2k/XP -
TechIMOsidebar.reg
Then double-click on that REG file. Quit and restart IE.
As long as you don't go into "customize" and make any changes, then your TechIMO sidebar will remain as long as you want. If you ever lose it and want it back, just double-click on that REG file again.
Scott: Please note that what I said in the Mozilla TechIMO sidebar thread
still holds true. You're the boss around here...I don't need to tell you that.
