Is there any real way to make money from home??

Ok I know everyone has heard about "make money from home." Ive never really read anything that started out like that but Ive heard thats its nothing but prymid schemes and junk like that.

But this is kinda serious can you really make money from home? Not really enough to live on but to get started? or live on would be nice.
But Im pretty much out of luck, I need money and I cant really get a job because of transportation.
Ive made some money with helping people with computer but I had a ride to get there and Im about to sell a php script I wrote to some of my dad friends(I guess theres a little)

So is there anyway for a teen with I guess basic computer skills and some php knowledge to make money?

If you have money you can make money. Trading on the stock market works if you apply yourself rigorously and use some good analytical software and a logical brain. BUT... you need some capital to start (a few grand at least). And it's not risk free.

Another option (not programmming really, but using your PC) is to advertise skills in resume making or some such at your local mall. Check out some websites on resume formatting or your choice of publishing, and you have a small business at hand. you only need a reasonable inkjet printer and some good DTP software, so costs for startup are cheap.

Do it well a few times and you are likely to get recommended by word of mouth, so more clients will come.

Stay away from "numbers" systems and stuff - they are all flaky.

Anyway, just some quick thoughts. hope you can find something.

Cheers
Mick

One word answer:

NO.

Unless you have a good PC, a very high resolution scanner, a high dpi color printer, supply of high quality treasury paper and a crisp new $100 bill.

I used to do contract programming and layouts for CNC sheetmetal manufacture, and I mostly worked from home. I did a lot of it on an old IBM PC-XT clone, back when a 486-66 or a P-60 was the norm for a new business machine. One week, I earned enough (after taxes!) to buy a nice new P-90. That was a good week

Next time you put a quarter in a vending machine, consider that I probably wrote most of the programs to build it, while sitting around the spare bedroom in my jammies.
