I will be getting a new dishwasher and looking for suggestions.Here are my requirements,
Quiet,I would like to sleep at night when it is running

Kitchenaid runs a bit more (their cheapest white model is about $600 list) but is very quiet. And you should be able to find a deal if you shop around.

We bought a Maytag at Home Depot for just over $500. Not top of the line but close. I believe Best Buy had an identical machine (but different model #) for under $500.
We did a LOT of research before getting this thing. Maytag is a reputable manufacturer, this price range seems to get you a very nice machine.
As far as quiet, after I installed it and turned it on, I thought there was a problem because I couldn't hear anything. But that's just the way it is. Very quiet. And it meets all your other requirements.
If you have a Best Buy nearby, go there first and look at Maytag. Let me know what you end up getting.

You can get This DW for 594...
But thats not all!...
the Under $500 limit would be This one.
And you can have it for $474...

Cruez,
Do you know of any local retailers that sell these,I would like to look at one?There is no mention in the specifications regarding the insulation used to quite the noise. The second unit is sold at Bestbuy and Sears.
How did you arrive at the price of $474.00 for the second unit,it says $569.00?

I put the first two links to show you what they looked like, but the place that has them cheaper is www.gochnauers.com
You can probably go to the manufacturers site to look up specifics by searching the mdl # that gochnauers has.
There are plenty of other mdl's and manufacturers there to0, I just noted a couple.
