Yes! YES! Someone who understands us!

Considering Copy protected CDs screw up imacs and the Pallidian chip will screw up the open-source community, this guy has my support (and if me moves to my state, my vote )

*edit: fixed your link, it broke off at the semicolon-Dave

IT"S ABOUT D@M4 TIME!!!!

digital media/internet use is something the govt couldn't possibly understand (heck half of them prolly don't even know how to use a computer). what state does he represent anyway?

thanks for posting, my thoughts on digital media legislation are only 98% bleak now.

you can read Congressman Boucher's article on
CNET
http://news.com.com/2010-1078-825335.html
he represents Virginia in congress. i hope he gets lots
of contributions because the digital
media industry (hollywood and record companies)
are gonna be heavily contributing $$$
to defeat this guy next time hes up for re-election.

prolly got his own home network, maybe a member TIMO secretly, sounds like I would like him very much.

It's about time the politicians try to understand the little guy. I don't think a bunch of people sharing music on the net will kill the music industry. Peope are still going to buy CD's, you can't share it if you didn't get it somewhere. Besides if they don't buy CD's, they will have more money to spend at the concert

Maybe by the time we get some true geeks in office, this topic will be obsolete

Yeah I like him

The day is already here in which copyright owners use "click on" licenses to limit what purchasers of a copyrighted work may do with it. Some e-book licenses, for example, prohibit the reader from reading the book out loud. Some go so far as to make it a violation of the license to even criticize the contents of a work, let alone to make a copy of a paragraph or two.
Sheesh, that's beyond rediculous. Not allowed to read it out loud?? What ever happened to freedom of speech?? This is just plain <insert multiple 4-letter words of your choice here>!!!
