I just tried it for the first time and it worked for me. It may be because of the period in your name. It probably can't handle it.

Read this earlier and I thought more like a copycat. couldn't come up with a name that was not taken and saw a Fingers logged on so thought Mr.Fingers. That he couldn't come up with anything orignal? doubt its the fingers mod.

You of course thought wrong NeoStar it is merely a coincidence that someone has the same name as myself. Nor do I scour through user names from bulletin boards for days looking to rob someone of their handle while at the same time brilliantly disguising it with Mr. in the hopes that no-one will assume anything of it. Although it may destroy the very fabric of the universe could it be true that in the whole of cyber space Fingers and Mr. Fingers are not the only Fingers and Mr. Fingers, granted even thinking such a thing can leave reality feeling like it just recieved a nasty enema it is still a very probable notion to some hopelessly insane individuals like myself.

*edit* Although Vass was quicker to the post this retort should still be percieved as not less than stinging although perhaps slightly blunted.

It is the "." in your name that won't let you log in.. IRC servers won't handle nicknames that contain things like periods, or spaces.
