Most hillarious Screw up of the 90's
IMHO, it was pretty funny reading that Pokemon gave kiddie seziures. Pretty nasty screwup (No one died, right?)
The robbery is a very close second
P.S. Some of those options (like the China one) aren't from the 90's but they arte still so funny anyway, so I decided to post them.

I'm just voting other, and filling in Clinton, that's all Clinton period.
I didn't have sex with THAT girl! Which girl then
I didn't inhale Yeah right
and all the other things he didn't do.
I must say Hillary did a fair job of running the country, concidering she had no formal training, but then neither did Bill. Too bad we're going to pay him for this

I'd say that the robbery is pretty damn funny, and certainly a disgrace to mankind. If it didn't happen, though, what would we be laughing at?
My vote was for the 2000 election. We just had sh***y mainstream candidates to choose from, and people never take seriously the other candidates (essentially cuz they don't have as much money). IMO, nobody should've been elected. There should be a clause in our law somewhere that can appoint interim leaders (not a sole "president", but several people amongst whom the duties would be divided). They have similar things in other countries (mostly smaller, third-world countries, but it would undoubtedly work). That way, there could've been a re-vote maybe the next year or whatever with totally new candidates (of course, the same ones would still be allowed to run again).
The backers of Dubya (who, by the way, aren't actually his dad, but people much higher up than him) didn't give a damn if he got in or not, but rather just that someone who they could puppet a little and who would be all for military spending et al (just like Bush senior was). If the money-men (or rather, the one controlling source) had another year or whatever to find a better candidate to have run, then we'd probably have a good president right now.
I'm not knocking Bush or anything, but he's not the smartest guy. I don't think he's actually stupid or mentally incapacitated in any way, but he's just not really gifted intellectually. He actually represents what our society now accepts as "OK": mediocrity. I actually kinda like the guy, being a stoner and all, but hell- we could've done a lot better.
If anyone has read John Grisham's "The Brethren" then you'll kinda see a parody in it of current reality, except that the controlling source (in book: Teddy Maynard) didn't find a great candidate like Aaron Lake, but instead one that just works well enough.
I realize the 2000 election has been talked to death, but if anyone's interested in talking about my angle I might just start a new thread for it.
Later.

Other: Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton,...(could go on but I'm already getting queasy)
Oh yeah, and let's not forget the Baldwin tribe. Weren't those bungholes going to move out of the county if Bush was elected? I say we make them keep their word, and boot them out.

I guess the Clinton scandal doesn't quite qualify as a "screw-up".
Outpatient, please don't mention those...those...people again! And go wash your keyboard off with soap and water.
