My cell phone died...

My beloved Nokia 8260 died today after nearly 2 years of faithful service.

I am in search of a new phone. I am seriously considering the Motorola V60. I think the (i) model. Anyone have any experience with this one or reccomend anything better and why?

J

I agree with Motorola's being stinkers but the V60 is suppose to be a different breed.

Most major brands are available to me. Ericson, Nokia, Kycoria, Motorola, Panasonic, etc...

I havn't been in the market for a cell phone in almost two years so I havent kept up with them much.

My cell phone is my primary phone and my only phone so it is important to me to get a good one.

My uncles Nokia phone is about to be thrown in the trash. He hopes it is still under warranty but I don't think it is.

I have a Samsung N200 (?) not bad.
The Nokia 5160 has been a great phone if you can still get one. Stay away from the 6160 tested highest in radiation.
I am always suspect of a company that produces junk suddenly coming out with something fantastic.. Almost an oximoron..

Check this one out

http://www.panasonic.com/PCSC/PTSC/duramax.htm

This is the one I have and it seems to do great. Long life battery, rubberized coating. Good clear sound, voice and text messaging.

The Montorola StarTak (or StarTrack, whatever) is an excellent phone, but Montorola disconitnued it for some reason. Rumor is that they are going to release an upgraded version, maybe this time with a caller-id screen on the front !!! That would be sweet! Anyway, see if your provider has a few stashed away somewhere

What Provider do you use anyway. Sounds like Verision(SP). Another phone you may wanna consider are the little ones with the Caller-ID screens (I think Montorola makes them, they are hard to miss. They are pretty cool, but I'm not sure as far as the reception goes).

My wife has a Nokia 3360. No antenna sticking up. That's the best part about it. And compared with our old Sony, when she calls Ican't tell she's on the cell phone, it's so clear.

Just my two cents.

I am getting the Motorla V60. It is a new style for me and a little larger than I am accustomed to but it has toys...
