Anybody here live or work in or around Memphis?

Pretty much the same question as the thread that Ritalin Kid posted...heck I stole his thread title and just changed the name of the city.

It's pretty much set in stone that the wife and I are moving to Memphis...she's got a job offer that we can't afford to pass up. Especially since her current job has hit a really bad dry spell in the past few months. Not too sure how much longer we'll be here...but probably the sooner we move, the better. She's going to Memphis this thurs and when she comes back she'll have some newspapers with her...so I'll be scrounging through those.

I'm looking for any kind of computer related work that would be available in the Memphis area and it would be great if I could find something before we move. Full Time work definitely...I'm making $8.50 an hour now (working for a real estate appraiser) so anything better then that sounds good at this point.

Prob too far, unless you decide to live SW of mem in MS. 30 min or so from south mem I think (couple of hours from north mem? ).

It used to be a dangerous drive between there and mem (sharing the road with drunk and sleepy gamblers at night), but would be a neat place to work.

Actually, I don't know much about mem when it comes to jobs anyway, so don't listen to me. Only know about the casinos and FedEx and NorthWest have hubs at their airport.

I live like 2 hours away but my former roommate/friend lives only like 10 minutes across the state border. There's a bunch of Memphis suburbs in MS, most people go there to escape the TN taxes You might wanna look in towns like Horn Lake, MS and Southaven, MS. Lotsa business over there
