...I figured that even though I'm not normally the type to share a lot of the details of my personal life, I might as well now. I might add that I recieved a lot of encouragement from a friend here to go ahead and share this with you all. So, here goes:
Almost 2 months ago (May 16th), my son Nickolas was born. 8lbs, 10oz, and 21.5" of bouncing baby boy.
His mother and I were married a couple of weeks ago (Jun29th). Not exactly the order we'd planned on, but that's the way things happen sometimes. What's more is that I still live in Japan, while they're stuck in Virginia. I spent the last three weeks out there with them. The situation stinks, as they can't come here, and I have 2 years left here. But, we had a ball, and we're focusing on the many blessings we have.
So, here I sit by myself while my family is back in the US. It stinks, but I'm still happy--things could be much worse for us. I have a beautiful wife whom I love very much, and our baby is the greatest thing that ever graced the earth.
Within the past two months, I've become not only a husband, but a father as well. And I'm pretty damn happy about the whole deal.
