Outdoors bathtub surround nightmare

remodeled a friends rental unit.floor, toilet, tub and the most troublesome,a tub surround. i despise tub surrounds to begin with, and this one turned out to be by far the worst pain in the a$$ to put in yet. especially after installing and tearing out the tub once(after it was drywalled and before surround was in)

every single corner was out of square. every peice had to be scribed and cut. by the time i was done yesterday,i was almost ready for a double shot of everclear

in the future,it will be tear out the doorway or wall somewhere or something and get a tub/shower module in,no matter what the extra labor is. i aint doin no more stinkin tub surrounds.

oh well,at least its over, and i can get paid LOTS

You sound like the guy who had to put a serpentine belt on my full size Chevy company van. When I went back by to pick it up he told me..."No offence, but, next time you need that replaced...Please take it somewhere else."

Well good to hear the nightmare is over

And Now You need this .

Old houses are always like that, nothing fits, and not a square corner anywhere. I had to cut the doorway out to get my tub unit in the bathroom. It needed about 9 inches more clearance Has a nice, standard 34" doorway now though

Well, you got through it, though!

Actual Japanese Haiku poem that I did not just make up:

At all corners
The mat-maker
curses the carpenter.
