Not deemed very news-worthy I suppose. You can pick up the short version at most LA TV affiliate websites. It's ironic the guy who shot the video was reluctant to turn the tape over to the DA's office. Turns out he had two arrest warrants out for him; Petty theft and hit-and-run drunk driving. He was arrested outside CNN's LA office.

I see nothing wrong with the video - the guy grabbed the cops crotch while his hands were handcuffed behind his back - how would you react? And when I say 'grab' I mean GRAB - as in intense male pain

I usually side with the cops but, I do not see any visual evidence of the crotch grabbing. It is probably the only viable excuse he could come up with.

I think the punch while they were trying to subdue him was called for. There is a simple rule that must be taught to our kids. do not resist arrest duh. Do not mouth off to a blue collar person with a gun ( no offense men in blue). You follow these rules and you will find that beatings would be alot more clear cut.

By the way I do think the cop should be bounced off the force in this case.

News hyp on this about the kids "disability" is rediculous. He is not easily ID'd as being disabled. If you talk about math and science to him he may be but when he is cursing and resisting arrest he just appears to be any other punk with a big mouth. so just leave that out of it. The other thing that keeps on being said is that the kid was unconscious until he got in the back of the car. He was not stumbling swaying or bobing his head. It is a load of BS. From what I see there was some brutality with the wilsoning off the hood.

This whole thing did not need to happen on two fronts. Had the kid not been taught to mouth off at cops they would have gone home with a citation. Instead the kid was allowed to puff up his little chest and mouth off (disorderly conduct) fight with cops(resisting arrest) were it not for his actions the situation would have been avoided. Same goes for 90% of the brutality cases. This does not excuse the cops, but The problem could have been avoided.

ok, I have not yet been able to find out what the kid did in the first place?
Did he break the law?
If so, its done, and IMO you loose a whole lot of rights, so WTF is the whole racial deal?
