What should gun laws look like in the USA?

I feel that the right to have a gun is established by the constitution. I do believe that this should come with some clarification. But not the insane amount of laws that are on the books today. We have some 20,000 gun laws which is completely insane. How would you replace these laws in your world?

My replacements would include the following:

Note Innocent (someone who has not harmed you or taken your property)
Restrictions:
1) You may not intentionally kill or injure innocent people with a gun.
2) You may not menace innocent people with a gun.
3) You may not operate or discharge a weapon in an unsafe mannor.
4) You may not take on vigilante justice and hunt bad people.
5) You may not own a gun if you are a violent fellon.
6) You may not own a gun if you have a mental disease such as bipolar or other mental disease which include degraded perception of right and wrong.
7) You should be trained in the use of firearms and the above rules.
8) You may not own a firearm if you are a current halucinagenic drug user.

Clarified and modified rights.

1) You may defend your life and property from attack and theft.
2) You may defend your family from injury.
3) You may use a firearm to defend others in times of life and death threat.
4) If some one enters your premisis, or vehicle with out permission they forfiet their civil rights and they can be perceived as a mortal threat at the discression of the property owner.
5) You may use deadly force to defend against rape.

I cant add anymore it seems to cover it all.

But seriously I mean how many more rules do you need than that.

You do not need a laws that say you cant shoot someone in the toe, and another one that says you cant shoot them in the knee, then another one that says you cant shoot some one in the chest.

I think that with maybe a few additions you have the spirit of all situations there. Identifying each possible use or abuse is rediculous.

Actually, Epidemic, (if I may get serious, here.) you'd be very surprised!

I know, I know, Californians get the brunt of the "whatta bunch of socialistic idiots!" humor, (and in many cases, rightly so) but I don't know very many people who agree with the ****that comes out of here.

It's just mostly our so-called "leaders".... who get elected on the strength of liberal idiot celebrities. And we have a LOT of 'em for these pickpockets to choose from.

You know I know there are rational people in california. But I do not think the stars can elect the politicians with out the assistance of a majority of the populous.
