I thought this would be intresting since we'd find out what the dominate veiws here are. Here's the catch tho, you cannot, ABSOLUTELY CANNOT repond to what anyone elses veiws are. Otherwise I'll PM you to edit your message. If you refuse, then I'll talk to the mod's. And, as usuall, no bashing. Just give a breif explanation, not a term paper

I'd like to know your viewpoints on these. Also, tell me why you think that way. If you appose the death penalty, for example, do you because you think it doesn't detour anything or because it's inhumane. See what I mean?:

-Gun Control- I am against what some democrats propose for gun control. Do we need 20,000 laws for gun control. No you need like 7 or 8.
1 don't injure or kill innocent people 2 dont use the gun to intimidate innocent people 3 If you are a violent fellon you cant have one 4 If you are bipolar you can't have one. 5 if a person enters your house illegally you have the right to fillem full of lead 6 If someone tries to rob you you have the right to fillem full of lead 7 If someone tries to rape you, you can fill em full of lead 8 If some one tries to maime or kill you, you can fill em full of lead.
Not only is it constitutionally supported but it serves a real benefit to those that need it. ( Police are not protectors but dealers of justice.)

I would also make self defense more clear so that lay people could be sure when they can and can't use deadly force.

Defense of you home is virtually always permissable in my world. If you enter my house with out my permission I have the right to dispatch you

-Death Penalty - If you commit murder or attempt murder against someone for their property, for money, for entertainment... then you forfiet your life. (I would probably make it for smoking gun crimes and valid confessions.) I would also limit the appeals in those cases to speed up the process of removing their carbon dioxide processing capablilty. (after all I am an environmentalist)

-Drugs - Legalize all of them, restrict sale and distribution to children with huge penalties as they cannot make a valid decision for themselves. But Legalizing drugs would be the single best way to reduce murder and other crime in the us. It would save huge ammounts of money. After if the police and government are not trying to restrict the drugs they cost virtually nothing. Therefore panhandling for several minutes gets you enough drugs to go for weeks.

-Abortion - Keep it legal, If you take the religious out of it, it boils down to a moral issue . The government is not there to determine morality.

-Education - My parents got a better education in high school than I did. With extremely low education costs. I do find that the constant update of the books is probably not required in most subjects. This is a place where money could be saved. Has math changed much in the last 10 to 50 years. History is changing or being revised daily I would much prefer the old "incorrect" history be tought. It instilled a sense of pride and nationalism in me. Recent history can be updated regularily. The text book industry is a scary place over priced full of errors. Stick with the old ones and correct the glaring errors.
I would think chemistry for the highschooler has not changed in the last 50 years not any new elements and covalant bonds still are the same. I would not invest another nickle until a nice middle class bussiness pannel reviewed the practices of the schools. No more self evaluation of schools by the intellectual snobs who have no common sense. Allow the working class review the process.

-Military - Keep it strong but stop paying 900 dollars for hammers.
We should bring our military home for the most part. Foreign bases should be mostly closed and we should invest in more transport vessels for effective fast transport of troops and supplies. We should keep a strategic number of bases for quick deployment around the world.

-Justice System (does it work, what needs to be done? )
what needs to be done that is a toughie. I would remove plea bargaining for major crimes. I would stop prosecution of drug users as drugs are now legal in my world.(note drugs are bad do not use them)

-Health Care (and Medicare/Medicaid)
The constitution was not written as a benevolent nor philanthophic document. You do not have the right to medical care. I would probably put a review board on the cost of medical care and reduce the profit in it a little. Aka you cant charge 90,000 dollars for a drug if it costs you 50 cents to produce, just because it is a requirement.

-Social Security
You do not have a right to be supported by your fellow americans.
Sorry plan better for you twilight years. Move in with your kids and pool your resources. You can have a government mandated savings plan which invests your money to reduce foolish people from leaving themselves pennyless.

-Middle East
Toughie, There is no solution to this one. Short of logic the region is doomed to repeat its war forever. Logic for the palistinians would be to allow Israel to take over their country and run it democratically not religiously. Israel is highly successful at turning a desert into a profitable enterprise. Palistinians would be better off in the long run. (

I would create another extension called XXX in place of com. All sites containing photo's, stories, and other erotica would go under the .xxx extension. Now filtering crud would be cheap and effective. Failure to follow the restriction would result in stiff penalties. No bulk mail with porn will be sent to people unless they sign up for it knowingly. Piracy is bad ban it.

US immigration - should be tightened up Borders should be closed Using the military. Two fences 100 yards apart with armed watch towers every mile. Crossings are only to be at the designated locations. If you are not a citizen your children are not citizens unless you are naturalized or planning same. Children born to illegals are illegal there are exceptions to this one. I would have a national ID card to Identify your status. This card would be produced for any benifits in the US Aka Welfare, drivers license, SSI, School, Jobs and so on. This card could be produced would be produced for legal immigrants as well.
