Have you said "Hi" to your neighbor today?
*removed*, Member, has said:
But the internet is not 'real' - Pull the plug and this fantasy world goes with it!
FRom here: *removed*
Apparently [he] thinks this is a fantasy world. I think he doesnt understand that we, everyone, are real, we have feelings-we care, I care.
Have you said Hi to someone(neighbor, person on this board etc..) today?
*edit* Names and links removed, see explaination below - Fingers Last edited by Fingers on 07-06-2002 at 2:40 PM |

Yes went out today for a half hour. Spoke 4 neighbours. Not bad for such a short time
And spoke to several friends on MSN messenger. But overall not much today. I have to learn the rest of the hours. Got exams coming week
Owhyeah internet is indeed reality. But you can see it as real persons walking around in a virtual world. I think [he] meant it like that.
But its good to have some friends in the "real" world. Last edited by Fingers on 07-06-2002 at 2:40 PM |

I haven't spoken with any neighbors today, but I have chatted with a few online friends today, some of which I've met in person. Online communities are very real. That becomes very apparent around here when one of our members is in distress.
BTW, it's not a good idea to start threads for the purpose of singling out another member due to a disagreement that happened in another forum or thread. Infact it's specifically discouraged in the Etiquette sticky thread As such, the names and links have been removed.

Hi Fingers,
My bag, I apologize for any thing I may have done. I didnt think about that Fingers. The only reason i put it in was as a point illustrating the question(about the net being real). No offence was intended, and I hope none was taken. I will remember that in the future.

I love my neighboors. We have a small garden in our backyard and also some lemon, orange, avocado, and prune trees. We give our neighboors some of the goods when there is too much for us to eat. In fact, I "lent" my neighboor 5 lemons today. On one side, there is a cool elderly guy (just turned 87 and his wife died 2 years ago), he moved in in like the 30s to this area and tells me about this area every now and again. On the other side is a cool guy with a nice truck, he lives with his wife. In front of us there are some nice people who give us home made stuff sometimes. This is a very lovely neighborhood .

well 3 a.m. this morning i almost got into
a fight with my neighbors who come home
from the bar at 2 a.m. every morning and
are as loud as h377 and im getting tired
of it. they called me a "stupid f49907"
and i called him a "stupid f49907" but
then they did quiet down so the whole
neighborhood can get some sleep.

Hi capybara,
Sorry for your troubles. All I can say is most neighbors, in fact almost all neighbors, arent a pain.
What about the other neighbors, on the net or off? Is there no one else that you would want to talk to?
