can any postal workers help me????

i have to take a 410 test.(something to do with filling the stamp machines.

i thought this was going to be easy but i can't even answer the practice questions.

ex:if customer pushes the coin return what protection is there against his also getting merchandise as well as return of his money?

a-scavenger bar is also depressed(don't know what this is)
b-escrow area prevents vending
c-coin return is registered by the recorder
d-selector switches are cut out of the circuit
e-all of the above

does anyone have any idea where on line i can go that i might obtain some knowledge of what i need to know to pass this test?

Ouch, that's hard. I thought to be a postal worker you'd need to know only how to drive, and count in cents(Since most stamps are in cents) (no offense to any fellow post workers)

Robin, if I may hazard a guess, I bet it would go better for you if you could find some sort of Glossary to P.O. terminology. I'll have a go at it, and will report back IF I find anything.

I am avoiding all postal jokes that I can... but this is oh so tempting.

I do not know the answer to the question, but the sites the other people provided look good to me.

Also, - this is very important-

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE DAMNABLE STAMP VENDING MACHINE ALWAYS HAS STAMPS/CHANGE in it - it seems everytime I go to a frickin' post office the machine is not working/needs stamps/needs coin - then guess what - 15 minutes on a line to get a frikin' book of stamps.

*rant off.

Thank you.

Good luck on your test !
