What Did You Do Yesterday?
Well?
We watched some DVDs till about 4, then went to my Mom and Dads, let the kid shoot fireworks with all the cousins. Had a BBQ, and then went to the park about 7. No room to park, full of people. I let the younger kids ride some rides, and watched the fireworks. The best they had ever been here. Had a band playing throughout the display(new this year), very good. Afterwards a dance sponsored by the local radio station, then at midnight we finished shooting our fireworks. Came home and died from exaustion. Very good day, enjoyed very much.
So what did everyone else do?

Stayed home (just the two of us), grilled some burgers. Too hot to think about doing anything else.

Let's see...slept in til around noon. Had lunch. The wife, myself and my sister went fireworks shopping and then over to mom-n-dads house for BBQ and games (UNO, Badmiton(sp), Frisbee, etc). Around 8:30 we shot off our fireworks and then headed downtown to catch the display on the river front.

If ya need to talk...this place has hundreds (maybe thousands?) of ears and no waiting. My 4th went by pretty good, the 3rd wasn't that great, but that's another story...and it will be covered in a different post.
Hope things start to go better for ya.

Sounds like you guys had quite a time! (well, most anyway, sorry Sweeper!)
I took my mom and a friend and a BUNCH of homemade ice cream up to Oxnard, my brother's Tennis buddies threw a shindig....ever been around a bunch of guys who won't stop talking about ONE SUBJECT (tennis, in this case) all day?!? Yeesh, now I understand what women complain about!
But the food was incredible, we saw a grand fireworks show over the water, and I also noticed a little more emphasis on what the day was about...more than I recall in previous years.
When they weren't talking about tennis, I mean. |

My G.I.Joes' had an illfated edventure at Jurasic Park! First they were attacked by raptors with flam throwers. Then they called an airstrike on top of themselves by accident. Then they tried to use a flame thrower on the raptor that attacked them only to burn up one of their own.

I went to my brothers house. He lives south of "BFE". way out in the boonies. We swam til about 4.00 and walked down to the center of town where they were having a nice block festival.
There was a ton of food. Everyone brought a covered dish. I was in heaven.
There was a bunch of old men playing Bluegrass music that sounded pretty incredible.
Fireworks after dark.
Just an all-around good time....
