I love country music, but I havent heard anything about his father dying. I think that is just a rumor.

About the song, Toby was supposed to do something with Peter Jennings and a several others (can't remember exactly what). When Jennings heard his new song, he tok back his invitation to Toby.

In the beginning of the song where he talks about his dad losing an eye and flying the flag everyday, I believe it is true. That is why he wrote the song.

And whatever is wrong with saying putting a boot in someones a$$, then please do tell. That's gotta be one of the oldest saying there is.

Hey, I heard to song--and with this mini-controversy brewing, ABC don't like seem one to talk with the crap they show.

(There is a bizarre standard on TV where you can stab a breast , but not kiss one.)

When I first heard about some song causing a network a problem, I thought it must be a real militeristic over-the-top number.

NAH ! Song just says "red, white and blue will put a boot up your..etc " or such.

Tobey claims he got a "no go' slip from ABC and that ABC denied it ever agreed in first place. Tobey claims paper trail says otherwise.

I listen to country exclusively...unless my son is in the truck with me, then he controls the radio and cd. I also live in mini Nashville, Bakersfield, home of Buck Owens and his famous Crystal Palace. Haven't heard about the controversy but the song is great. Agree with F/A-18 MechDood. That sounds about right.
