hmmmmmm good thread

I can now understand you "old time" smokers......what I can't understand are the people my age and in their mid-20s who smoke or recently started....

Girls... after many teen years of being let down by girls a friend gave me one and said "try this".. I would quit and I would get let down again and I would start right back up.. it's a vicious cycle.

Dont you remember we/you voted to legalize it in '97 for medical purposes here in CA---hence---its entirely legal for me to sit on my porch and smoke a fat indica doobie possess a pound of dried "medicine" and have 90 flowering plants---(although I dont, but wish I could)
I belong to a local underground co-op of similar patients---so I have "little risk" myself...

...another thing I just remembered...

Remember getting that first lighter of your very own!!
THAT was a big deal!

And again, I'll remind the young that this was before the Bic disposables, and a good lighter was a bit of a status symbol...

Wow, some of you guys are really old. Did you ever have to rub two sticks together just to light a cigerette?

I can't remember why I started, I guess I quit drinking and had to have a bad habit.
Seriously, I had smoked years ago, peer pressure prolly, and quit in my late teens. Any way about 10 years ago I was depressed, and just smoked one, then another, and then 10 years after that I quit again. It's a lot harder to quit

Well, now that you mention it, I still remember my first lighter-forgot the name but starts with a R- you had to put in the flint and no it didn't use lighter fluid but gas- yeah it was a thrill to own a lighter. Remember, it was a whole different world in the late 60s-early 70s when we were your age.
