Okay, I finally broke down and found him through Information, and we got to chat for a bit

JD'd mother-in-law is okay, out of the hospital, and mending up pretty well, although JD wishes she'd "slow down a little, just 'cause she got outta the hospital, she thinks she can...."etc. Good for her!

So the missus has been back since last Monday, which CD is most happy about, too!

One thing he's NOT happy about is (I knew it!) his computer went completely haywire. I asked what was up, he said the powersupply and MoBo and the voltage regulator had gotten smoked. Finances being what they are...

So now, I'm wondering....he says he has "a one-gig selly sittin' on the shelf, just needs a motherboard that would support it..." he says that would fix him up...I assume he meant a 1-Ghz Celeron processor...

Anybody got a MoBo like that? Is this a big deal? Maybe we can put our heads together and get CrystalD back up?

It would never occur to JD to ask, but it sure occurs to me, since he's fallen WAY behind at the Ministry of Avatars...that's right...it's all CD's fault!!

he's gonna kill me when he sees this, hehehehe

Oh, and he asked me to find the other two threads (His own, "prayer needed Now", and Megalos' Greetings to Alice") and update 'em, but he doesn't know about this one. HAH!

i have no spare parts,but am willing to kick in some bucks.

Knot: I have a spare MB given to me by the DoooooooooooooooG - brand new in a box that I'd be willing to chip in. Has a built in modem and all.

Lets figure out a way to put all this together for our ol' buddy.

wait,i think i have a stick of ram,maybe 32 mb,not ddr tho,pc100 maybe?? is that what its called?? i d have to dig around to see...

edit: and a real weak vid card,like 8 mb,but it works. i used it in the new machine i built till my gts v came in.
