The 50 worst movies of all time

As an antithesis to Doooooooooooooooogs 10 movies searching for an eleventh...

has anyone seen Maxim's 50 worst movies of all times?

I won't list them all, just the highlights:

50 - Can't stop the Music

44 - The Sound of Music (finally someone brave enough to say they hate this movie)

38 - Battlefield Earth

35 - Junior

31 - Spice World

29 - Cocktail

28 - Cool as Ice

20 - Dune (I'm not sure about this one, maybe it's because I read the book first, although the whispering did get annoying)

18 - Moment by Moment (the pic show John Travolta kissing Lilly Tomlin, that's enough for me)

14 - Nell (10 minutes of eeengh, na, na, ingsh was enought for me)

11 - Dirty Dancing

10 - Little Nicky

9 - When Harry got mail in Seattle (I happen to agree on both accounts)

8 - It's Pat: The Movie

7 - The English Patient (20 minutes in and I was gnawing on my wrists)

6 - The Postman (did anyone besides postal workers watch this movie?)

5 - Staying Alive

4 - Armageddon (I happen to completely disagree with this one. I loved this movie)

3 - Patch Adams

2 - Steel Magnolias (this is going to draw some comments)

1 - Batman & Robin - Maxim states: "Holy Batcrap! You had to smell a stink bomb when pantywaist Robin got equal billin with the Dark Knight. How did window-dresser-turned-hack-director Joel Schumacher demolish a cherished franchise? He forgot it was about BATMAN! Schwarzenegger camping it up as Mr. Freeze...and Alicia Silverstone overstuffing her Batgirl tights...and given Batty's prominent new codpiece, lets hope the Superfriends have a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. Ugh, enough."

"cherished franchise?" Did they watch Batman Returns?

I would also have to throw in Showgirls (at one point I was wondering if someone would put their clothing back on), Trainspotting and Poetic Justice.

*edit* - must remember to proof read
*DOH!* - found 2 more

Armageddon, Batman series period and Patch Adams were all decent movies......Patch Adams was more of a drama...I thought it had good meaning and would never say it was the "worst"....gotta love highly opinionated reviewers.

Some movies are universaly known as sucking, but not some in that list (haven't seen the entire list)

What happened to the later Rockys and Rambos and anything with Chuck Norris?

Oh gosh...worst movies....that's hard to answer. Sometimes the worst ones are my favorites!

I particularly enjoyed the movie "Hackers"....but not because it was a good film.

I'd probably be more intested in a TOP 50 Movies to Laugh At list. LOL.

you actually liked armageddon? damn that movie sucked.
as for patch adams, it wasnt that bad, in fact it was good.
the first 3 batmans were good, but batman and robin was gay, except for alicia silverstone
but besides that, have to agree with the rest

I actually saw howard the duck at the movies.. what a waste - maybe not the worst of all time, but the recent disney movie 'snow dogs' - here's a spoiler - the dogs don't talk in the movie! only in the commercials.

My vote will go to the 6th sense, just a big let down IMO. Figured it out 5 minutes into it I see dead people
And anything with Mary Kate and Ashley in it I mean they were cute in Full House, but they should have quit there IMO.
Armagedon was an alright movie. I liked Bruce chasing Aflek around with the shotgun
Personally I think they should put the Scooby Doo Movie on that list as well. They should have stuck with the cartoon format. I still watch the cartoons
I agree with Dirty Dancing except it should have been #1, I hate that movie, and put center Stage right beside it, YUK!, Black Dog was a lot better than that, or even next of kin. And they weren't great movies.
