Systems What's wrong with MaxPC cds?

One of my guilty pleasures is my monthly copy of Maximum PC magazine:I'm not big on gaming or case mods but there is always somthing interesting either in the articles and reviews or the companion cd-rom.But the last few issues the cd wont autoplay and on one of my Win2K boxes it gives the warning about insufficient permissions for drive, folder or device.
What I'm wondering is if anyone else has noticed this. These cds are the only ones that wont load.Weird

The Boot/Max PC Cd's were always crap. I renember back in 1998 they were telling people with 16x or 24x cd rom drives that were having read problems with the disk to try a slower drive.... HUH? This magazine is about cutting edge hardware and your telling people to use a older piece of hardware?? It was boot magazine before it changed names to max pc.

Poor quality CD's! I have seen this many times. I went on a service call to a home one time to work on a computer that wouldnt play the demo CD that came in a box of Cap-N-Crunch. There was nothing wrong with the computer, just cheap CD's.

yeah I've had problems with some of their cd's too. Most work some don't. You can e-mail them ( they even have a special link for cd problems so they apparently know about it), and get another if you want.
