Another one bites the dust

A kid died from frying his brain from a speed overdose yesterday.

He and his twin brother graduated my high school 1 year before I did. I can't say I was his 'friend' or even an aquaintance but I had spoke to him several times and knew him. This is HUGE news for my lil town...very sad

Never did it either in my high school years. i used to hang out with the kids who did it. and i saw how stupid they were.

PLus my dad was the first sargent of the SP's so i had to watch myself

I grew up around drugs as well, never have and never will touch the stuff.. no thanks
I'd rather eat paint chips and watch the lawn and wait for it to turn pink than try stupid sh** like that

When I was in school more than two decades ago, many kids smoked grass. Not that many hi-tech drugs (at least that I was aware of) then.

Different ball game now and I am happy to learn from the boys that they routinely have Drug Awareness programs in school.

It seems *only* the genuine dumb@$$'s sneak through, though.

I lost a high amount of respect for a girl I knew when I saw she smoked cigs and weed on the class trip....she was in a program called "Teens Against Tabacco".....I mean..WTF...she knew the dangers......I don't get it....what causes the mental break down.

I have never used anything like that all though due to my outspoken veiws and large ammount of energy which some days i just dont feel like using it is commanly believed i do. People even ask me to sell it to them

My father made me promise never try speed and i will keep this promise along with the one to my mother never to smoke.

My father O.Ded on speed when he was 27 he was in hospital for 4 days, His father didn't come to see him.
