Which member of the WHO died today???

They keep teasing the story on the news but wont give up the info, nothing online yet that I can find---

Found it:
The Who bassist John Entwistle died last night in Las Vegas of a heart attack; he was fifty-eight. Entwistle was in Vegas for an exhibit of his artwork, which was to be followed by a Who performance at the Joint, on June 28th, the opening night of the group's U.S. tour.

That sucks---

Sad. He was the quiet one. First Keith Moon now John. Any comments from Pete and Roger?

Thats life King, we all gotta go.

At least he left a mark. More than what I can say for myself.

Edit:

Sorry, that sounds like I'm feeling sorry for myself. I'm not. I'm pretty good with my life, just not hugely rich and famous. LOL

"Tommy" was one of my favorites more than two decades ago.

Very sad.

If you saw them do the outtstanding set during the 9/11 tribute "Concert for New York" you saw a great-now historic show---I had tickets for their appearance here this weekend at Irvine, it aint gonna happen now---good thing I saw some past shows...

I saw the Who in a small venue in 1968. That show is one of my fondest memories. I will miss him.

Entwhistle's album "Too Late The Hero" is one of my all-time favorites. He had a nasty sense of humor, and was a consummate musician...

The Who was always one of my three or four favorite bands, I'm glad they left so much good stuff for us.

Rock Gods ain't made of steel, they're just flesh and blood, and....sadly mortal. God bless you and rest in peace, John...that was quite a life you had there, buddy!

Aughh!!

Hadn't heard... Read it here first....

Entwhistle was an exceptional bass player.

Anyone, who could form a rthym section with Moon, would have had to have been.

But from an era, when most just played standard old plodding basslines.

Entwhistle stood out for his inventive play.

[Just like Flea does in the Chili Peppers- for the young uns]

My fave Who tune: Baba O'Riley from Who's Next.

Well anything from Who's Next, both sides indeed!

The sad truth of growing old is wishing your heroes and foes goodbye.

I hope I'm going to heaven... They'll have a hell of a band!
