Court opens door for expanded drug testing in schools

The Supreme Court has narrowly upheld the "right" of schools to randomly drug test participants in after school activities. While I understand their concerns and motivation for this action, I find its implications troubling. What do you think?

LOL, if they did ANY kind of drug testing at my lil school, 2/3 of the study body would be TOAST. People routinely go out into the non-patrolled parking lot to light one up......or simply take a drive out of school property.

Even when I was in HS i wouldn't have anything worry about, I was clean lol

However, it is a bit troubling in some aspects that at any time they can tell you to stop come let us get some blood from ya.. that'd tend to get a bit annoying if somebody just didn't like you and picked on you. (I mean like if an admin didn't like you, so routinely checked you occasionally)

The admin @ my sk00 new I wasn't a true badahs so they didn't pester me

I can see how that can get annoying though in a large school

yep, I agree, if you ain't doing it you shouldn't worry about it.

It's illegal ..... they should be getting used to that fact anyways.

At least there will be more graduating high school students that can apply for a job without failing the drug test!
