Any flyfishers out there?

I took a leave of absence from the internet for a while, ( job related, work, exams etc... ) I know I should be punished. But I can enjoy it now.

But I rediscovered fishing in a big way. I've started this season by deciding to learn how to fly fish properly. My success story is pretty good so far, but I will give that more to luck than skill.

I've started tying my own flyies, nothing much, but pretty looking! lol

I'm determined to be good at this, so any hints, tips or tricks would be grateful.

Freshwater, trout hunting.

WEll I haven't fly fished or fished for years but im going the 4th of july weekend

Just got final word today a whole week without my kids!!!!! YeeeHawwwww!!! So me and my best friend are gonna go 4 wheeling into a place in the mountains and do a bit of fly fishing and regular ole fishing.

Im excited!!!!

Excellent, I fished for years as a kid, but gave it up when I found women and alcohol.

Now I'm married!

Doesn't matter if you "suck" at it as you put it, its all about having fun and learning and just enjoying the freedom fishing offers.
