Teleportation and Time traveling communication.

A friend told me a tale that was aparently on CNN about scientists that were able to modulate a message on light in such a way as to actually send it back in time and they were able to receive it prior to sending it.

Has any one seen this story I would like to hear more about it.

It is kind of late because you have to know how to receive such a message but just imagine what the CIA and FBI could have done with such a message from the future.

The other story http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/science...eut/index.html

Was really neat cool b1tch1n!

I cant find the link I had earlier but some of the scientists say that they are confident that with in a 4 to 5 years they could transport atoms. (can you say replicated matter) boy that will kill the gold and diamond markets.

Isn't there a law thats states it is impossible to know both the exact location, AND the direction an electron is moving to? Unfortunetly I cannot remember this exact laws name, or the exact wording of it. Now if I am right on this law, then, isn't that law the EXACT reason why teleportation is impossible?

Oh well, I dont have the PHD so what do I know?? :P

If you are re-creating matter at a new location would it be requied to know the exact location of each electron or would it be more important to know how to create each atom. I.e. if you teleport gold and you keep all the atoms the same it may not be the same gold as first transported in that its electrons would be in new locations but it would still be gold.

I believe this is the heisenburg priciple aka the heisenburg compsensators on the star trek.

Ep, I was wondering the same thing about the exact location. I for one dont know, but I dont see how the substance can be different as long as the right amount of electrons fall into the correct orbitals.

Thats right, its the Heisenburg Uncertainty Principle. I made my self go look it up and it is actually the location and momentum.
