Kids Commercial lawn mower shopping help!

Need some advice on brands/size/HP/etc. for a larger commercial grade mower.

I've got 7.4 acres to mow, and between my wife and I, 4 relatives on our road, all with large yards.

Went looking over the weekend and kinda really like a Toro Z Master ZRT 280 Series. Link to it here.

It's got:
Powerful, liquid cooled Kawasaki® V-twin 27 HP engine
Fast 9.5 mph forward ground speed
High volume 72" Super Flow System® deck

The place we were looking had it for just under $9000.

We were considering one of the other big name brands too: Cub Cadet, John Deere, MTD, Kubota, etc.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions please!

I know nothing about these things, but I'm reminded of the guy who tried stealing a riding mower by driving it down the road. Apparently, it wasn't too much trouble catching up to him.

If I knew nothing about them and wanted to know.. I'd stop when I saw the pros cutting and ask and look at their mowers.
Then visit a few shops that do blades and sell mowers.
Maybe even call a few landscapers and ask em.

Dad has one of those Toro mowers. He loves it, I think he cuts around 7-11 acres with it....

Makes quick work of the lawn also.
I Don't think he paid that much though....an it was new also. I'll have to check which model he got...

I'd reccomend looking at a Kubota F-Series mower. I use a F-2560 at work. The decks on them cut great and they are extremely hard to bog down.

Yeah, we've got a Murray just for our back yard - 46" deck 20 HP B&S.... 3 years old and it's falling apart...

Was trying to find any ideas on the JD website - seems hard to navigate to me, unless you know what you're looking for...

I didn't get a chance to look at Kubota's site yet - thx for the linkage!!
