im sorry but if anyone takes anything way to serious on this forum, then you need to turn off the computer and hang out with real people

Of course sometimes it has serious debate on interesting and important topics.

Other times it is debate on the inane/insane.

No answer really meets the definitions above. I vote because sometimes we hit a real prize of a debate and then there are my posts.

Oh I'm not taking anything too serious. And I DO hang out with real people from time to time. Well at least they claim to be real. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up one morning and I was the only real person in the world.

Actually. I'm just trying to get frustration out...not intended to critizise anyones posts.

I try to stay out of trouble. I try not to let posts get to me. I try not to get annoyed with people.

The question was poorly asked.

The real question should probably be: "Do you think some people use this forum as a platform for spreading propaganda rather than their own opinions?"

I disagree. Strongly.

If I'm going to sit here and have a serious debate with someone about a topic that I strongly believe in, I think that I should probably be taking something away from the conversation as something learned.

Once again I am in agreement with Brandon. OOOOO scary.

Basically I do not think I will change the world through this site. But It is a forum for addressing world issues. What you may call propaganda is not propaganda to the one who speaks it. It is their truth usually.

To me seems to just go that way in ebbs and tide..
Sometimes I crave an intelligent syllable from anywhere on this foum.. nothing but nonsense in every post (mine included )

sometimes discussions to end up being a springboard for certain peopls opinions, but i wouldn't call that propaganda. i think it is still a good forum where we can have serious (or not so serious) discussions.

Yep and the nice thing is everyone has the ability to either open or not open a thread!
To start in a thread, and if you don't like it never go back!
To ignore some posts and respond to others.
To become angry because someone looks at life differently than you do is childish.
To get mad when one can't convert someone to their way of thinking is ridiculous.
To get wound up and red faced is pretty much a waste of energy.
To think that your opinion is any more valuable than anyone elses is egotistical.
To demand that threads that are offensive to you be closed is self centered.
Funny how one can think someone is a great guy because of the tech support they offered only to become a jerk because they don't agree with you... Hmmm let's see what is more valuable as a human trait?? Having a kind heart to take the time to help you with a problem ... or not having the same views and thoughts on social issues?

I would be interested to know how you define propaganda and serious issues?.

In the end it's all about which subjects you like and which you don't.
