Hmmm...I would have to disagree a little with some of GNC's products not working at all. Although I agree that one cannot just ingest a pill and hope for the best...exercise and a healthy diet are also needed to complete the equation.
I lifted for 2 months while I was stationed in Kuwait and I was taking Hydroxycut for the first month. I ran ZERO times and was thoroughly defined by the end of the two month period. Sure, I was eating healthy foods, drinking plenty of water, and lifting weights...but I certainly cannot conclude that I lost so much fat WITHOUT cardio by simple good fortune. I gained a lot of muscle, but muscle won't shine through (especially abs) unless the fatty layer on top of the muscle is thinned out. Now I'm not saying that the fat burners are totally safe because they do increase your heart rate and can even lead to high blood pressure. They cheat your body into a faster heart rate (comparable to getting that 20+ minutes of cardio to achieve the same heart rate) to help burn any excess calories or fat that's lingering around. Don't get me wrong, they don't work for everybody...I had a few friends taking the same pills along side of me doing the same workout with less results. Genetics and muscle memory play a big factor in any workout.
Remember: DIET and EXERCISE are essential to EVERY successful workout!

Stacker 2's are a horrible thing, stay far away
not from personal experience, but they crank up your system so its essentially a speeer.
They are habitual as well.

Well he realizes that a good diet and exercise works, I told him he shouldn't try and cheat his body by taking some sort of supplement.

The best "fat burner" is WATER. Just plain water in combination with a high protein ( chicken and fish, no red meat) and carbohydrate diet. If you don't take in any fat the fat stored in your body has no place to go but be used as energy while execising, etc. Real simple but hard to stick to!!!!

Green Tea helps. Any of the Stacker stuff is thermogenics... caffiene, plus ephedrine.... brings up your calorie burning by cranking you system up a few notches... also raises your body temp.

Keep in mind, Stacker is a big NASCAR sponsor (along with beer and cigarettes). Does that tell you anything about the people they're marketing to?
