anyone into knives?

............and I'm not talking about butter knives either.....

Here is my daily carrier (but straight edge, not serrated at all):
http://www.wengerna.com/cgibin/zoom.cgi?16470

Carried that baby @ school, through airport security twice (pre-9/11)....lol, I'd put it on the baggage scanner, all by it's lonesome...the guys would nearly piss themselves, lol (just under 4" blade), they'd take it out and measure it, I think 4" was the cutoff......recently carried it to nova scotia on my class trip...made it on the ship the first night, then we got off, getting back on it didn't make it because I claimed it (stupidstupidstupid), so she put it in a baggy with my name on it and I picked it up when I got off teh ship (grr).

So I've looked into alternate means of still keeping my knife, even when I don't have it.....if that makes any sense.....I have a black SwissCard, which is nice (like the pen) but the knife is practically useless. pic

So I've been looking at this, the knife is much more aggressive. Only thing I don't like is lack of a pen.

Recently I picked up a lil key jobby like this. When folded, looks very similar to a key, and would go in the lil basket @ security.

Then I've got a Shrade multi-tool (gift) that I have in the glove of my car.

I also have several large knives, USMC Kabar, 10" blade 1/2 refinished 1/2 rusted custom Pakistani knife, 10" blade custom Brazilian bush whacking knife bought in Brazil for like $9 (gift from dad who visited)...dang, I want to go down there, it's high quality steel from junk cars or something, all DIRT cheap because the labor is so cheap down there....

Anyone else carry one daily? Hobbist?

Nope, don't carry one... I have enough crap in my pockets, don't need a pocket knife.

Now that you mention it, I used to carry one of those mini mini pocket knives that go on your key chain. It was sharp and big enough to pierce the skin, but it was just a thing I had on the keychain, no big deal.

I don't carry knives, but I used to...ummm, "collect" butterfly knives, throwing knives and boot knives...all unsharpened of course But when little cousins, nieces and nephews started coming along, I had to get rid of them for safety concerns. I don't now how they do it, they can find ANYTHING!!

Butterfly knives are pretty cool, although I don't have a use for one. If I lived in a more crime infested area (much more), I'd consider carrying one.

I carry this in my backpack that I take to work everyday. I use it a lot. Was a gift.

I also have this one. Old, don't even remember who/ where I got it from.

I used to have one of these but the pin on the pliers broke. I think it might still be in my Explorer's glove box for emergencies.

And this one is in my PC tool kit.
