To much water?

I have been lifting weights for a while and I was reading up on eat and drink habits. Most places say not to eat to the point where you’re stuffed.

Now I love drinking water. I drink it all the time especially when im on the computer. I drink to the point where im full. Is that bad? I know it makes you go to the bathroom more, but am I messing up on getting in shape when I drink too much?

It surely wont hurt (if you poop water you know yer ODing on it)---most of us dont drink enough, I experienced that this weekend as well as a friends wife---too much heat too much exertion riding motorcycles off-road this weekend---got behind on the water intake in 100 degree desert heat, then both of us couldnt take it in fast enough to overcome the loss---she was doubled over vomiting while I was doubled over in severe cramps---our day was ended at 11 am---been awhile since ive had that happen...our fault---lesson relearned...

I didnt read the articles kendo posted yet, but I agree w/ TKOP. Most people dont drink the recommended 8 glasses a day.

I would think it wouldnt be HARMFUL to you.

Interesting links kendo put up about od'ing on water. Kinda make sense tho, but I think it takes ungodly large amounts of water to do that, that is what i understood from the articles. Maybe I understood wrong. But I can relate to that water sloshing around in your gut telling you drank too much liquids. Eww gross feeling.

Myth No. 1: We need to drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day

Researchers aren't sure where this familiar advice came from, but most agree there's very little solid scientific evidence to support it. The average adult loses only about 1 liter of water a day through sweating and other bodily processes -- the equivalent of only four 8-ounce glasses. We typically get that much water just in the foods we eat. Drinking an additional eight tall glasses of H20 is probably more fluid than most of us need.

they say they don't know where the myth came from. However in the article they suggest that 4 glasses is all you need but then they suggest taking about 10/ 8 oz glasses of water to prevent bladder cancer. Sounds like the myth was close to right. Hmmmm.

pseudo science

eliminate all fat. oops we need fat. oops we need good fatty acid. No salt, we need more salt. Ahhh They are confused. Stick with the myths. They will be fact soon enough. lol

I know I have a lot more energy if I drink water steadily throughout the day.

OK, this has nothing to do with water..
GZ, if you want to help prevent injury you need to do Yoga.
When you lift, you are tearing and rebuilding. The muscle tightens.. Then you do yoga to relax, smooth and lengthen the muscle.. Helps prevent injury..
from Chapter 2 of Auntie Surreal's How to Pump UP and Not Poop Out.
