TEN MOVIES IN SEARCH OF AN ELEVENTH

da DOOOG, cinema raconteur, recommends the following Classics:

1) THE HUNGER --David Bowie ages real quick, and Catherine Deneuve tries to save him. I won't tell you how ..

2) BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA --Warren Oates and enuff said....

3) SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER --Cameo appearance by Liz's husband Milke Todd and beach appearance by Liz Taylor, and Monte Cliff as surgeon.....Made waves in its time.

4) LAST PICTURE SHOW --Forget about famous actors before they became famous; watch Ben Johnson as Sam the Lion; errr...and pool scene...

5) PATHS OF GLORY or BREAKER MORANT --depends on where you want your War movie to take place...

6) CAT WOMEN OF THE MOON --Title says it all--if you can find it--tell da DOOOOOG

7) BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA --improves with time; maybe should be a version with Keenu Reeves edited out--otherwise not a moment wasted....

8) THE CONVERSATION --OK, I like Gene Hackman--but who doesn't ?

9) THE MISFITS --Marylyn Monroe, Eli wallach, Clark Gable and some mustangs in Navada...was Monte Cliff in this, too

10) [The movie about the Carrier Nimitz going back in time before Pearl Harbor] Blocking on the title: Kirk Douglas, Katherine Ross and sci-fi goes to war....

Thems some ten to keep you occupied--if you can find them.

Number ten is the Phladelphia Experiment. The harbor where they filmed that is the Cooper river that divides Charleston, SC from Mount Pleasant, SC. Very cool flick!

A great movie Doog that we saw last night was 13 ghosts. That could be #11.

Actually I think the 10th one is "Final Countdown". F-14's against Zero's. Hell yeah!

That Final Countdown movie was pretty cool I must admit...

Watch MST3K the movie (that's MST3K=Mystery Science Theater 3000).

Hahahah, Daveleau, I thought it was "The Philadelphia Experiment", also! Funny!

I just watched "Moscow On The Hudson" last night, starring Robin Williams...it's about a Russian guy who defects to the U.S., and discovers that no matter where you are, there you are.

Sometimes he loses his reverence for America, but he never loses his FAITH in it. A truly touching movie.

I have never been able to walk through a supermarket and fail to marvel at how much is available to us, after seeing the "coffee" scene. SUPERCOOL MOVIE!
