made me think of something.
Here's a sort of quiz, only it has answers that people fight in courts. I'd rather you answer in what you think:
1) Bob see's his favorite movie on TV and so he tapes it. Then his friend ask's for a copy, so he copy's the tape and gives it to this friend.
a) illegal
b) legal
2) Joe and some friend's have a small (4 computer) LAN party at his house. They all want to play a cool game, but between him and his friend's, they only have 3 CDs. So Joe goes to a site not unlike GameCopyWorld, and burns a new RW with the copied game on it. They all have fun, and Joe erases the CDRW after the party.
a)illegal
b)legal
3) Let's say that Joe's friend that didn't have that game runs out and buys it after the party because he loved it so much. Is it now:
a) illegal
b) legal
4) After buying a new game, Dan immediately goes to make a backup copy so that he can safely put his master CDs in a safe place. Unfortunately, the game is copy protected. So Dan goes to a game copying site and 'cracks' the game.
I know this is legal, but do you think it should be?
a) no, that's just wrong
b) sure, I'd do it
5) What if Dan went out and dled Warez instead of copying the CD (in the name of convinience or copying the CD was impossible)?
a) No, it's wrong
b) Sure, I'd do it
6) Jim loses the CD key for a favorite game after a reformat. So he goes out and gets a keygen.
a)illegal
b)legal
Coun't up how many a's and b's you have and answer at the poll.
Being that most people on this site are biased (me included), I can sort of predict the answers. But who know?
