I'm happy to announce that in September I'll be going to Alabama to get an evaluation for a kidney transplant. My doctor said that I was an excellent candidate since it's only my kidneys that are non-functional and the rest of my body is in great shape. Hopefully all will go well and maybe sometime in the future I'll be able to get one and not have to go to dialysis anymore. It's probably going to be rough, with all the medications but at least I'll free of the machine and be almost as independent as I was before...Wish me luck!! __________________ Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead
