How far would you go. Value in action.
There is this nice well mannered 12 year old kid boy or girl.
Their parents have money as no object and are not worried about spoiling the kid. Should their parents get them any of the following.
of course with all the restrictions a normal partent would impose
Roller skates.
Skate board.
Razor scooter.
Bicycle.
Go cart.
RM 50 (motor cross bike)
Horse.
Small Quad (motor cycle 4 wheeler)
Jet Ski.
Snow Ski's Snow board.
Pocket knife.
trampoline.
.410 shot gun
Hunting license.
Rock climbing gear.
Fire works (fire crackers, bottle rockets, jumping jacks and similar class.)
Parachute and lessons.
Flying lessons.
16 pounds of weapons grade Plutonium
Just curious make any additions to the list you want. and identify which were good toys and which are not if it were someone elses kid.

Without question....a horse. We got our daughter a quarter hose ( quite tame and on in years) when she was nine. It taught her respect for animals and hard work. Cleaning stalls and caring for tack gave her the insight to become the person she is today. Never fooled with drugs or alcohol, though,I'm sure ,she had plenty of opportunity. Have to give them something to involved in and fill in that spare time that leads to the advent of getting into trouble.

| WHA-A-A-A-T??? I would definitely limit the kid to no more than 14 ounces!! Fer Pete's sake!! When I was a kid, (cranky old man voice) WE didn't have any weapons grade Plutonium! Not like you little bassars today! No sir, we had to make do with radioactive ROCKS!!
And we was DARN GRATEFUL for 'em! |

14 ounces? Geez, Knot, have a heart. What can a kid do with 14 oz.?
I'd say 16 pounds sounds OK.

I say either the fireworks or the plutonium...not both.
And definitely a go kart!
Other stuff: RC car. A computer. A stunt kite. A musical intrument (guitar maybe). A trampoline.
Oh, an here's a novel idea: how 'bout some books? (get it? "novel" idea? nevermind.) |

For a girl, yeah, a horse is good.
Not for a boy. (A boy doesn't want to own something that has a bigger ***** than he does.) |

Now which would you classify as too dangerous. all of them are potentially deadly improperly used. Some with a mind of their own could easily kill you in an accident. I am wondering when the parent is considered irresposible. Add to the list anything that goes over the edge or pick from mine.
