Outdoors Police dog left to die in car.

Grrrr. Stuff like this really gets to me. How can you "forget" your partner?

that's so sad. It's still beyond my comprehension that people can be so careless as to leave another living being (child or animal) in the car on a hot day.

Don't get me started

What a piss poor excuse for a Law Enforcement Officer to treat a living creature with such little regard.

Doc, I remember your story last year with an assh£$e and his cat. This is worse, in that it was not just a pet, but an animal that would save its "partners" life in a situation.

What neglect!!! What a looser!

Very sad, Justy

Police dogs are considered sworn officers and harm to them carries penalties the same as human officers. You think involuntary manslaughter charges should be brought up against the officers? They would apply the same principle to citizenry if the case was reversed.

Wow I am in the presence of greatness. This is amazing!!!

Hey everyone on the internet. I have found something extra- ordinary. For the first time in all of history we have 4 people who are.... da da da rat a tat tat(drum roll please) PERFECT.

They have never locked their keys in the car. Never done anything that could be remotely considered dangerous with their kids or pets.

I hate that this happened. It is sad. And I can be angry with the cop for making a mistake. But to call for mansaughter... You would put a cop in jail for 5 to 10 years for a mistake. Criminals who hurt police dogs are trying to hurt them. This cop screwed up. He probably feels as terrible as you can get.

I hear all these perfect people and it makes me wonder where on earth did I go wrong. I have made mistakes and I understand that other human beings make mistakes. Some great parents have had their kids die in the past as well. You have no idea how simple it is to leave a dog in the car. You probably have done it yourself. closed the door and started to walk away and said OOPS. In that split second you could have been distracted by the kid on the driveway and Fried Dog or dead baby. People make mistakes. We do all we can in our power to eliminate the risks but being human makes us falable.
