Talk RC Car Advice!

I want to buy a big, off-roadin' RC truck. I don't care if it's gas or electric, but it should have powerful radio control and awesome off-roading capabilities. The more power the better, and the BIGGER it is, the better.

Price isn't really an issue - but nothing ridiculous!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I haven't been able to find much online, myself.

Thanks!!

- Brandon

If you wanna get into it quick and easy without goin nuts with the wallet try the line of ready to run from Traxxas---look at the E-Maxx truck for electric or the T-Maxx if youre into high hp nitromethane 2speed action, they come with a relatively good radio system (w/on board starters) parts and support are available online or most hobby stores---Traxxas as well as many independant companys have great aftermarket hop up parts and alot of cool stuff to keep you havin fun--- http://www.traxxas.com

http://www.t-maxx.com/ is the website for the nitrotruck (I have a feeling you will go that direction)

Under 400$ complete almost ready to run in gas or electric---

Very, VERY cool... The truck isn't as big as I'd like to see though. I'll have a look around the site.

Thank-You!

Hmm try this: http://www.rccartalk.com/ek4.html
a couple hundred more to get you goin tho---plus add the build time, or http://www.duratrax.com/cars/dtxd74x01.html add a few more bucks---I myself would aim at the Traxxas nitro, just for the ease of getting up and running and parts and support availabilty, its almost 1/8th scale in size---next up is 1/4 scale which will use a weedeater motor---believe me the NitroTraxxas will be faster and more fun overall---you could also buy any of the hot SUPER hipo nitro buggys in 1/8th scale (Mugen, Kyosho, Pirate, Thundertiger, GS storm, Hobao, Protech) and fit an easily available truck body to it---get ready to spend 50$ every couple hours for tires---2.8hp at 48,000rpm tends to burn thru them---and 40% nitro aint cheap :-)
Oh yeah you said $$$ wasnt all that important---(dont forget the 200$ radio and 200$ worth of hightorque/highspeed servos and the 90$ starterbox)

Yep thats big alright, I guess it depends on the wallet, you could probably buy a fleet of T-Maxx for the cost of putting that birdcage frame together...

I think that might just apply to lilfoot. that first link i posted has a bunch of big toy's. 7 1/2 foot long dragster,ect,ect... One of the sites has r/c tanks that fire real ammo!! they only go about 10 mph but you can blow away the competition.
