Isnt this soo true...

http://www.usatoday.com/usatonline/2...5/4166057s.htm

Isnt this true? I read the article and I can agree, most radio stations sound like a broken record, and most new CDs only have two good songs on em. I bought the new eminem CD and I was impressed. It actually had more than 2 good songs on it. Most people has probably read this over at the [H], but for those who didnt, here it is.

I have thought that music lost its soul int he 80s. I then thought it reclaimned some of it in the 90s grunge movement. Now I think it is dead again. I hope something with talent comes along again soon instead of all this mass-market crap.

I totally agree. Im only 20 so I didnt experience much of 80s or early 90s music until a few years ago. It seems to me that it just went downhill, with the occasional uphill that went down again.

Even the once-robust current-hits CD franchise, Now That's What I Call Music, is slipping, presumably because of a declining inventory of radio smashes
I've seen TV ads for that thing. What a lame excuse for a CD. My wife bought a (it hard fr me to even say this) Ricky Martin CD because she likes ONE SONG on it. It's enough to make me puke.

The recording industry is like a leech. They make Don King and the boxing industry look like saints. They make the porn industry look good.

Just showing my age here but...to me music lost it's soul after the early 70's. I wonder if the artists of yesterday would've ever thought their protest songs would end up on Burger King commercials.
